About Radka Ruzicka
My name is Radka Ruzicka. I’ve been in the field of Natural Medicine for over 20 years and have assisted people of all ages and from all walks of life in finding health and wellness through use of herbs, nutrition, and other natural modalities.
After completing my Naturopathic* training in Sydney (Australia) I moved to Alberta, Canada, where I currently reside and practice as a Master Herbalist, Nutrition Expert, Intuitive, and Metaphysical/Spiritual Coach and Mentor. I also hold a PhD in Parapsychology and Paranormal Sciences. (*See notes on Insurance Claims at the end of this page).
I have a busy private health practice that is located on a lovely acreage just west of Edmonton in the area of Spruce Grove.
I’m affiliated with a number of excellent associations including the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners (CANNP) with whom I have my Nutritional designation, and the Association of Holistic Practitioners (AHP) with whom I am a life-time member.
And if that isn’t enough for you, I also facilitate home-study courses in Wholistic Nutrition, Anatomy/Physiology/Chemistry, and I facilitate fun, practical, Paranormal Investigating workshops. For more information on my courses, go to the menu to the left of this page.
Natural medicine (especially herbs and nutrition) is my passion and it’s important for me to share as much information as possible about how you can reach a state of optimum health and well-being through use of a natural, wholistic approach.
I’m lovingly called an old hippie by my friends, colleagues and long-term clients. Why? Well, because I live on an acreage, I love nature, I have long hair, refuse to wear a white lab coat, and have a dislike for wearing shoes!
But don’t let my appearance and casual atmosphere of my work space fool you — after working with people for over 20 years I know my stuff and will do everything I possibly can to help you get back to a good state of health.
Basically, I look for the root cause in all things. The word “disease” means lack of ease in the body (“dis-ease”) – the body is out of balance in some way. And lack of balance is what I am referring to when you see “disease” or “dis-ease” in this text.
I do my best not to label the symptoms. Instead I see it is my role to look beyond the symptoms and help you uncover where the imbalance is in your body, what is causing it and make suggestions as to what can be done to create balance once again.
It’s also important for you to know that I don’t use any special equipment to test what is going on in your body. I won’t be taking any blood from you, nor will I be hooking you up to any machinery.
If I feel that blood-work or testing of any kind is warranted, I will refer you to someone who specializes in such things, or back to your medical doctor with a recommendation of what needs to be checked out.
People often ask so I’ll tell you right here — I don’t do allergy testing (they’re often a waste of time and money), or hormone testing. If this is something you absolutely feel you need to have done, I can refer you to colleagues who do these things.
I have found that as I work in a wholistic manner with my clients, the need for many supplements and herbals is greatly reduced. My clients (and I) love this because there is greater compliance when it comes to following a program.
Which would you prefer?
1. taking 3-5 different products that are gently cleansing, balancing and strengthening the body and organs, 1-2 times daily? OR
2. taking 10-15 different products for every symptom you are feeling, 1-3 times daily?
My clients also really appreciate the fact that they are spending less money on products and that they are able to be aware of how the suggested products are working at creating balance.
