Life is Simple

The other day someone posted the image to the left on Facebook and even though I’ve seen this before, I was reminded – once again – about the simplicity of Life. It ALL comes down to choice – every single little (or big) thing that we do every moment of the day.

Our emotions are what guide us – if we’re feeling happy, we’re on track. If we’re not feeling happy then we’re off track and, if we don’t like where we are, it’s up to US to change the situation. There is no-one to blame, no-one to point the finger at. It’s all, ultimately, our creation therefore if we don’t like what we’re seeing or experiencing, then it’s up to us to make the change.

Now that sounds like a great plan, and really simple, but what about those situations where things are incredibly desperate – no money, little food, no job, poor health, etc? The thoughts and feelings that accompany those situations are far from happy and often difficult to shift in an instance when one is stuck in that space. However, based on the Universal Law of Attraction, it is possible to shift even the darkest of situations.

As I said a few moments ago, emotions are what guide us, and as crazy as this sounds – when we are in a dark, negative space and we find even a glimmer of positive – we automatically start feeling better and guess what? We start to SHIFT.  Even walking away from a nasty situation (as opposed to getting involved in it) is a choice you’ve made to do something different – and as long as it feels good, or right, then you’ve made the choice to change.

Certainly as we start to feel better, it’s not like everything suddenly changes and improves, but the space for change is created and with that comes the possibility that something new – something better – will happen.

I’ve had personal experience with this. A time, not long ago, I had an unexpected bill to pay and no money to cover the bill. At first, I became worried – “where would the money come from, what could I do, and what would happen if the bill wasn’t paid on time?” Then I remembered the Law of Attraction and even though I couldn’t “see” where the money would come from, rather than focusing on the lack (of money, in this case) I focused on things that made me feel better. Little things that had nothing to do with money – such as the fact that the sun was shining, that I had food in my fridge, a roof over my head, great people in my life.

As I focused on those things, I automatically started to feel better, and when I caught my head trying to worry about the bill/money situation, I was able to say “it will all work out”. I continued to maintain my feel-good state of mind and guess what? The next day the phone rang and I ended up with a new client and a couple of orders for herbal tonic refills – enough to cover the bill.

That’s how the Law of Attraction works. It’s simple – we just make it complicated.

So whenever you’re feeling crappy or disheartened or down, etc., find something better to focus on that has nothing to do with your current crappy-feeling situation and you’ll soon create the change you want.

Remember the wise words of old Yoda (Star Wars): “Do or Do Not. There is no Try”.

Now translate that to: Choose or do not Choose.

    Even “not choosing” is a choice. Sometimes it’s better just to hang tough for awhile, which is different from procrastinating. I agree though. All it takes is to add something nice to one’s day, no matter how small, and that may be just the stepstool that can help a person climb out of the dumps.
